I can't keep up with myself! *Trips over feet*

Yes, it's been THAT kind of Monday ... which makes me think holy crap, it's almost WEDNESDAY, the opening day of the SIITA hunt! I have to say yet again how excited I am to be a part of this hunt. You really NEED to check their flickr site if you haven't already to see what kind of prizes these 100-plus amazing builders are putting together. I've been on a few hunts in my almost-year of being in Second Life, and I have to say, the items in this hunt are beautiful, unique, USEFUL and I want them! LOL. Not only that, the organizers are amazing people who are knocking themselves OUT to give everyone a great experience -- vendors AND hunters. I really believe you guys will all enjoy this one!

RGK's location that will be in the SIITA hunt is the Sassy City shop, and that is where you'll find:

1) A group join board that you can click on so you, the hunter, can get updates on SIITA hunt information and help with hints, store locations etc. while you are hunting.

2) NEW! Free gift from SIITA organizer Tiea Aeon of hunt-themed clothing for men and women. It is in a gift bag located not far from the fireplace in my shop. The big thing that's been pushed in this hunt is that it be male and female-friendly, so almost all of the participating vendors have kept that in mind in designing items for this event. Tiea kept that in mind when designing these adorable clothes for the hunt for men and women too :) They're low-lag clothing so should help you with that, as lag is often at issue on these things. Tiea also has other plans and tactics up her sleeve to help everyone deal with that ;) Here's a pic of the women's clothes that are in the gift bag (I didn't dare model the men's clothes, sorry!):



Soon, you'll also start seeing a new poster for the SIITA hunt, as well as an "Ask for Help" poster. So, if you start to feel like this:



Look for this and click on it:



It'll dispense a notecard with a hint to where the egg(s) are hidding around the shop that you are in. Some shops will have them, some won't. But if you see it, now you'll know what it is :)

The start point of the hunt will be announced on Wendesday night, I believe. Keep checking here and the SIITA blog site for news and info!

TGIF and Hanging From A String

OMG! I never thought it would take me this damn long but it did. Finally got the promo pic done for the unisex item I'll be hosting for the Spring Is In The Air Easter egg hunt. This texture-change voodoo doll is item #2 that you'll find hidden somewhere in my shop starting April 1st! Be sure to check out the SIITA blog to see all the participating shops and latest updates and info. Their flickr site is here be sure to check it out for a look at the latest items some of the best, yet little-known builders in SL are offering. It's a great hunt that is worth your time!

Still working on getting the main store up and running, but will be sure to let y'all know when that's happening ;)

Main Store In The Works!

Well I'm still working on getting that second pic done up for the items I'm putting in the Spring Is In The Air Hunt (which from now on, I'll be calling SIITA lol), but wanted to let you know that other things that are in the works for RGK include a new main store.

Right now, my "main store" really is my shop at Sassy City, mainly because it's the biggest place that allows me the highest number of prims lol. I'm hoping to have my *new* and *real* main store done up in time for the start of the SIITA hunt, if not before.

If you've been to Riff Raff Paradise, my home, then you've already seen one part of the main store. Some LMs with the new main store location have been dropped into things like the "Spring Fling" necklace and the second item that will be in the hunt, but for the most part, it's not yet officially open.

I'm really excited about it, as it's kinda a cave in the sky idea, mossy, damp, dripping sounds, but with a whimsical touch (think semi-transparent butterflies). Gone is the Hippo Vendor (which has been SO handy prim-wise, but not pretty per se), and eventually will make it so that my "satellite locations" will feature mainly my accessories, but frames, other "fun stuff" etc. will be just at the main shop, and there of course would be other advantages to shopping at the main store :P

For members of RGK groups, of course, there will be a sale for groupies only when the grand opening of the new main store hits, so stay tuned! I'll do my best to post preview pics of the new shop, Riff Raff Paradise (there's been changes there too!), and other stuff. Maybe sometime over the weekend ... *suddenly feels overwhelmed* lol.

Spring Fling and other stuff :P

OK, I thought I posted this last night, but obviously I was tired or SOMETHING (won't say what) cuz it's not here, lol.
Well last night was the announcement of the winner of the RFL Photo Contest. Unfortunately for me, I can't say that I won, but if you can, check out their flickr site. The photos, including those of the winners', are really beautiful. They're all worth a browse through at least. It was a fun event to participate in, was a great reason to play in photoshop too lol!
My next project is trying to get my stuff for the Spring Is In The Air hunt all done. Posted here is the pic of one of the items I'll be hosting at the Sassy City store. Obviously, it's geared towards women. My second item though is a unisex one that is a lot of fun. Really excited to get all the photos shot for that one to show you all!

A worthy cause

Well I'm up until 10:30 p.m. despite needing to go to bed so I can get up at 5 a.m. for work, LOL. Was really feeling the need to finish doing these photos for a photo contest I wanted to enter. You can se the pics below that I submitted.

Ultimately though, this SL event is truly a worthy cause, and if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, you really should.

It's called the Relay For Life Clothing Fair. I've spent a LOT of money there, LMFAO, because there are some great RFL-related clothing made by some of my own personal favorite designers. They are all nice things. I believe they said there are 4 sims worth of vendors supporting the fair, and they each have a purple and white RFL vendor at their shop. All the money that goes to purchasing the clothes in those purple and white vendors goes to raising money for Relay For Life -- a really great, important cause.

As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, and someone who has to -- at the ripe old age of 35 -- get a colonoscopy every few years because of family history, this is a cause I truly believe in. My submissions are below. I'm proudest of the "Cancer Canceled" piece, it's the one that I put together while I was thinking of my mother, my grandmother, my friends, and all of those I know who have fought cancer, successfully or not.

It's hard to believe that each and every one of us CAN'T say that we don't know someone who has or has had cancer. If you can, do go out and support the fair. You won't be sorry.

Welcome to RGK's blog!

First of all, thanks to anyone and everyone reading this! It means a lot to me that you like what you've seen me do enough to take a look here :))

This is my first venture in blogging, so things might be slow to start off with. I do have some plans though, that as I figure things out, I'm going to try to bring to fruition lol.

If you want to know a little bit more about RGK and myself, check out my profile details. I've typed up quite a bit in there already, maybe more than you wanted to know lol.

For those of you who have been with me from the start of my venture with RGK, you'll notice the logo has changed! I just cleaned it up a bit so it would be easier for me to use on signs and such, hehehehe. Hope you all like!

Because this is a new venture for me, I'm completely open to suggestions for this blog. My plans for what to do here are as follows (can you tell yet that I"m completely Type-A?):

a) Bring you updates on products, stores, and events that RGK is going to be taking part in. I've already been part of a couple of hunts, and I'm always making changes of some kind or another lol. This would be a good place for you to keep track of all that stuff ;)

b) Show you some of my latest *personal* photos -- so not work that I've done for customers (unless I get their express permission, usually only for profile pics or things that the public in SL will see anyway). Planning to mostly use flickr for that, but want to use this blog as a way to kind of direct you there ;)

c) At some point, I think it would be fun to have contests of some kind, and use this place as the place for you all to get update/news on it. I haven't completely thought this part of things out yet, but I will lol.

Seems to me the whole point of having SL businesses blog is so that we can keep in touch with customers and people who are interested in our businesses, so I encourage you all to leave me notes and comments.
