Elf Ears ... free!

Yep, you heard right. This past weekend, we released two new sets of elf ears ... both for free! The idea of that being, simply, that we wanted to see which style of ears people would prefer. So, until this coming weekend, these ears are set for sale at 0L. The catch is, that to keep our numbers realistic, we're limiting the sale of these to one set of each ears per avatar.

Right now, we've left the ears modifyable and tintable. The flaw in that being -- we realized later, was that when you change the tint of the ears manually, you end up also changing the tint of the piercings on the ears :( We are working on finding a good script that will allow users to adjust the tint via script so you don't end up messing everything else up. Soo, stay tuned :) But we're really excited to make these. I (Raffi) have been wearing elf ears for a while now and I luvs em!

The OTHER cool thing, is that RGK has been blogged by a couple of store-watchers :) The link is HERE, and we are also going to keep them on the list of blogsites we watch, which is off to the side. The blog linked above has the male and female models wearing some great outfits, along with our new elf ears :))) YAY! Must say I think the whole thing looks pretty hot!

Check back, when I hear about RGK being blogged, I'll have links somewhere on here :) And weekend's coming up fast ... that means again we'll do 60L Sunday, which has been extended to include the whole weekend, actually, which is very cool! Sooo, stay tuned!

Here's what we had for 60L Sunday this past weekend. We'll have it out by this weekend too, but at the regular price ;)

Haiti Relief Efforts ...

This week's release is being brought to you on a serious note. As everyone knows, there is a big call for humanitarian aid to go to Haiti to help vicitims of the devastating earthquake there. In SL, there are many designers and builders participating in an in-world effort to raise money that will go to the Red Cross and all the good work they are doing for the men, women in children in Haiti.

Chippie and I have combined our efforts to bring to you two men's, and two women's items this week, with 100% of the proceeds on the sales of all these items set to go to the Red Cross. We decided on using the theme of 2010's Chinese zodiac sign, the tiger, along with the colors red, white and blue for the shirts we made. The tiger symbolizes strength and courage, and red white and blue are found in the Haitian flag. We also used the Chinese character for 'tiger' in the men's and women's necklaces we made.
The shirts and necklaces are available seperately, but we also offered an option where we packaged them together, and discounted the combined price of both by 15%.

If you're not in the mood for one more shirt or one more accessory, there is also a donation kiosk set up by the vendors. Please donate whatever you can, as it all is good and helpful. I want to thank those who already showed their support for this campaign, and thank everyone else in advance for their generosity.

On a lighter note, I also wanted to let you know that we are in the Shoes and Accessories Hunt. This hunt is the first of its kind, and I was so extremely honored to be invited to be in this hunt! It was by invite only, which was so flattering. Be sure to take part, there are some amazing designers in it, including Hoorenbeek (which is the starting point), Iren, and many many more amazing designers. The shoes and accessories you are hunting for are for men and women, and some designers have included prizes for each, or a unisex one. The link to the blog site for the hunt is on the right of this page ;)

You can see that RGK's prize for this hunt is a women's item. Sorry guys! We just couldn't get it together in time to have one of each, as we usually like to do. I promise we'll make it up to you soon!!!!

So that's our news for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and have a great time on all these hunts!

X-RATED!

Well it's just like I promised, LOL, X-rated prize for the Hunt For the Forbidden Fruit. Before I get to that though, wanna make sure I write up a bit about the new release for the week too, and RGK's other big news! CHIPPIE!

Chippie Waffle is stepping in to help me run RGK. It's not that RGK is this huge operation LOL, just that I have a hard time saying 'No', so my plate got overloaded. Chippie will be handling all customer service questions, issues with hunts (applications, problems with them etc.), mall invites (receiving them, scoping them out etc.), and designing as well. Please make sure you give her a quick 'hello' if you do see her around!

This weekend, I finally released a set of camis I started a loooong time ago but never got around to finishing. Chippie found some time to finish them off for me and set them out for sale. YAY CHIPPIE! They're fun camis, 35L each, and come in black, grey, red, pink, and teal. I know, I know, it's not cami time ... but isn't it ALWAYS cami time in SL? LOL

Last, but not least, the Hunt for the Forbidden Fruit prize that RGK is offering up. When RGK was still brand new, one of our friends thought it would be HILARIOUS to send in a 'gag' custom work order. Here's what it said:

"Dear Mrs. Raffi,

I'm wondering if I could make a request for an item. I'm sure that you have already made something like this before. I would like a necklace for my cock ... a cocklace if you will. I want it to hang to about ankle-length ... too long and I'll trip over it. That would be embarrassing. I would like to have the piercing part have a gold skull attached with large heart-shaped pink gemstones for the eyes, and also along the length of the chain ... ooooh make sure they bling, with a colored bling control menu if you have such a thing available. Also, it would be great if one could click the skull and it say sexy random phrases like, 'Click me again bish, and I'll toss you over my shoulder like a sack of taters and haul you off to bed.'

Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from you."

Once I realized who this 'request' came from, I laughed hysterically for about an hour. Then, I thought ... Why not? They asked for it, I'll make them sorry they asked.

So I set off to work and a few days later, after much laboring on my part, they were the proud owners of -- as far as I know -- SL and maybe the world's only Cocklace.

While RGK does not usually create Adult-themed items, we DO take custom work of all kinds! And as you see, by all kinds, we really mean, OF ALL KINDS. We've made everything from custom tails, necklaces, T-shirts, furniture and more.

This cocklace HAS been updated from its original -- The chat menu has been removed because it interfered with the color change/re-size/reposition menu that is in it.

Hope you have fun with this hunt! And have a great weekend.

This weekend's release and New Picks Prize!

Well I hope everyone's having a great New Year so far! My resolution is to stay more on top of this blogging business :P

Anywhoo, this weekend, I released what I'm calling a "Tincan Shanty." Basically, it's a 'homeless shelter' I created with the furry purry nekos in mind ;) It's loaded with 6 animated poses, and one static lying-down pose for naptime, hehehe. There's also a TV set on it that can be loaded up with your own pics, as many as you want! There's a demo version of the shanty on the main store's roof ... TP over to my location at Thunderstruck Radio Land, and you can either fly up, or use the TP function I put up next to the vendor in my store. Whichever you choose!

Also, we've updated the Monthly Picks Raffle prize for January! The drawing will take place on Jan. 31. I'll announce the exact time as the date draws nearer.

This month's prize is being generously offered by Karfields Shapes, which is the shop located right next door to mine. If you haven't checked out what she has to offer yet, I highly suggest you do so. Designer Vivian Karfield has THREE FLOORS worth of men's and women's shapes ... all of them fantastic. The shape she has offered to give away to one lucky winner is one she calls "Steph." I won't try to describe it, just drool at the picture you find here hehehehe.

Aside from that, check out my flickr! I've added a couple more pictures there -- mainly the hunt signs that I've been commissioned to create. Been way too much fun making those things, hahaha.
