Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! I hope the holiday season brings to all of you happiness and health.
I have released some sweaters today, which have three sculpted collar options, and has sculpted sleeve cuffs. There's a variety of color choices available, including pink, purple, light blue and regular blue, aqua and green.
If you've swung by Thunderstruck Radio Land to get my Xmas gift for you, you
've already gotten a preview of these sweaters :)
AND, my main store has gotten a visit from some naughty elves ... they marked down the Knitty Gritty neko tail and ears as well as the Kiss My Ass set of tail and ears to 25L! ZOMG! I just don't have any time at all to fix that right now, so take advantage of it while you can :)
Truly, all, have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year. My best wishes go out to you all.
XOXO Raff

Playing some catch-up!

Like everyone (so I'll try not to sound like I'm whining LOL), RL has been keeping me busy, so falling behind on this blog! Woops LOL. Oddly, as RL has gotten busy, so has SL. Crazy!
Well here are this week's release, last week's release, and the fun event of this month for December going on at Thunderstruck Radio Land!
This week's release is "Knitty Kitty," a set of neko tail and ears that has all the important kitty parts wrapped up against the cold. The little hats over the ears are texture-change by menu, as is the scarf on the tail. I tossed in a pair of sculpty mittens and a scarf as well, which are also texture-change, loaded with the same textures so you can have everything match! As with all other tails, chat menu is original and specific to this tail.
Last week's release is the "Kiss My Ass" set of tail and ears. This one was uhm, a more smartass take on an Xmas-themed tail LOL. Mistletoe on the tail branches out over each butt cheek, and well, I think that's all that need to be said. The chat menu is definitely smart-assed, and hopefully will make you smile.
Finally, this week, we started the "Gifts Under The Tree" gift-giving event at Thunderstruck Radio Land. Alpha-Delta Designs, Adlerblick Shapes, Karfield's Shapes, Rebel Fairey and RGK (meeee) have all placed presents under the tree that is right by the landing area. If you go out of the RGK main store, you'll see a Xmas tree that has a shining star on it and lights. Right under that tree is a bunch of gifts from all of us, to everyone who visits us! There's some great stuff there, so please take advantage!
Have fun!

GLBT Stamp Out HIV/AIDS Hunt Prize

It's been about a month since the last gridwide hunt I've participated in, so I'm ready for another one now ;) This one starts on Tuesday, December 1st, and runs until the 31st. It's a hunt with a great cause in mind: HIV/AIDS awareness. The hunt is called GLBT World Stamp Out AIDS hunt. There are many, MANY amazing designers participating in this hunt. I encourage everyone to show support for this cause by participating in this hunt, AND by making a donation of however much you are able to.
At each of the locations, you will be hunting for a red ribbon with a spinning globe on it, and we will have prizes for you right in there. As with other hunts, within the prize item will be an LM that leads you to the next shop in line. Also at each location, you'll see a donation kiosk -- a big version of the hunt item with the unmistakable hover text "Donation Kiosk" over it. PLEASE consider donating as you go on this hunt. 1L, 5L, 100L, whatever you feel you are able to donate.
This is such an important cause, and a personal one for many of us. For me, my cousin contracted HIV/AIDS, and unwittingly passed it on to her son while pregnant with him. They both live with this reality every day. Many millions around the world do.
My hunt prize item includes a unisex fedora hat, with a matching neck bow for the ladies'(similar to the one I released earlier this week), and for the men, a brand-new creation: A sculpted tie with a gold and silver tie-pin. Both the neck bow and tie pin have a prim into which you can drop a picture of an SL/RL loved one you wish to keep close to your heart.
I've chosen to stick with red ad the prize colors as it represents the color of the cause.
I hope you enjoy this prize, and the many prizes of all the participating designers. Be sure to check out the link to the GLBT World Stamp Out AIDS blog to check out the shops and other announcements (there are other events planned connected to this fund-raiser).

Velvet Lush

That's the name of the new release :) Used my friend Velvety's (Alpha-Delta Designs owner) grunge line of textures in this, and it actually came out looking like a rich, velvety kind of texture on the big bow choker and matching fedora hat that I made. Releasing this set today, as the rest of the week I'll be running around like crazy for Thanksgiving hehehe, as I'm sure many of you will be as well (happy Thanksgiving, btw!)
The hat and choker are both texture-change, resize and re-position by menu. The choker features a little locket hanging from the laced gem that you can drop a pic into.
This is kind of a preview for the hunt gift that I'll be featureing in the Stamp Out Aids hunt that starts on December 1, not long from now! In that hunt, I'll be offering a version of this release, with the hat, and an little addition for the guys as well ;) My theme for the Stam Out AIDS hunt is going to be red, and I'm making the point of making sure there's a 'locket feature' to my prizes in this hunt, as I want my gifts to you to offer you a way of commemorationg anyone in your life who might be living with the realities of HIV/AIDS.
Take a look at the links to blogs that's off to the right of this blogpost. You'll find the link to the AIDS hunt there. Be sure to check it out, it's a lengthy list of some top-notch designers. Don't miss out on it!

Move and Grand Opening Of New Location!

Wow, it's been a whole month LOL! What can I say other than RL has been taking up some time, and since it comes first, I guess I just had to set my blogging aside for a while. Sorry!
In the meantime, Halloween has come and gone, and it's time for me to announce that RGK's main store is moving again, woot! I'm really excited about this move. RGK and Alpha-Delta Designs, which is run by my very good friends Vel and Thor, are joining forces to bring to you Thunderstruck Radio Land. Vel is a marketing/business genious, and she has her hands in making clothing, piercings, builders' textures AND running a radio station! We've been working together for months now sharing ideas, info on marketing tools, she shares her textures with me, blah blah blah LOL. We found a great place to put our forces together on and ... well... ther eyou have it!
Thunderstruck Radio Land is where Thunderstruck Radio is based, and it is where DJ Thor will often spin his amazing mix of blues and classic rock tunes from. It is also home to Blues/Classic Rock club The Whip'n Post, ANNNNND home to some awesome shopping ;)
Stores that are all set up there in addition to RGK and Alpha-Delta are:
Adlerblick Shapes (specializing in men's shapes)
Eluzion (women's clothing)
The Corner Shop (interior decor)
Ironk Neko (women's clothing and accessories)
Jagz (furniture, poses, photo props)
Karfield's Shapes (men's and women's shapes)
Rebel Fairey (men's and women's piercings and accessories)
*ZOE* Decor (interior decor)
Just like at Riff Raff Paradise, we'll have a Monthly Picks Raffle, which is already all set up there. This month's prize is Adlerblick's men's shape "Daniel," so be sure to add us in your picks and click on the raffle jar to be eligible to win!
Last, but definitely not least, is the grand opening events coming up on Saturday! The Whip'n Post has planned for DJ Thor to play his awesome tunes from 4 p.m., during which there will be many prizes given away by some of the designers mentioned above.
Also as part of our grand opening, The Winter Thunderland Hunt will also start on Saturday. The designers you see in the ad below are all participating in the hunt, and will hid in their shops a little snowman that has a prize just for you ;) See if you can't find them all!
Stay tuned, as we'll have more fun stuff going on here, and I will be blogging more regularly again. Woot!

Late update on New Release :P

K, so this item got released this weekend LOL. I've been sending out camis and shirts as group freebies off and on, but this release represents my first real venture into making clothing .. I hope you enjoy it! Starting off with a "costume-y" ensemble just because it's Halloween, and it's fun hahhahaha.
This full outfit comes with shorty-shorts, off-the-shoulder-shirt, cami, web stockings, arm attachments which are sculpty spiders with flexi, alpha-textured webs flowing off of them, a belt that is also detailed with sculpty spiders and flexi web, ANNNND a set of the not yet released-on-its-own neko tail and ears called "Arachnia." The ears have twitchy movement, the tail has chat menu and movement menu as well ;)
Stay tuned, as every weekend this month I'll be releasing a Halloween-appropriate product for your enjoyment ;)

Well Hot damn!

Today marked the start of the Pumkin Prints Hunt ... SOOOO excited about this one cuz RGK is the second store on the hunt! WOOOT! *tips hat to organizer Graycie Andretti*
The gift for that hunt is a very pumpkin-and-rat-themed set of tail and ears, woot! :)
Also, failed to put up here my new release, Mouth Rat. It's a Neko-teeth attachment that also comes with a rat, all in one convenient attachment haha. Click on the rat and enjoy a two-way chat menu. Definitly a heavy rat theme on these last couple of hunt prizes and releases lmfao. I think I may have finally gotten that out of my system.
Stay tuned though, more creepy-crawly releases coming up in time for your Halloween enjoyment!

Raffle at Riff Raff Paradise and New Vendor!

Well our newest feature and opportunity to score some swag is the Picks Raffle ;) I've set up a table kind of in front of the RGK main store, that has a jar, sign that explains how the Picks Raffle works, and a pic of this month's raffle prize. Just like any other Picks prize, you need to put Riff Raff Paradise in your Picks. Without it, you can't click the raffle jar, and you can't win the awesome prize of the month! If you need instructions on how to add picks to your profile, hop on over to Riff Raff Paradise and click on the green sign set up in front of my shop. You'll get a notecard with instructions on how to add picks, all the rules and explanations on how it all will work.
This month's raffle prize is Jagz's Porch Scene. Retailing at 350L, this beautiful prop has 10 poses in it, and you can see from the pic, it's just a wonderful piece. Don't miss out on this chance to be in line to win this prize! Names will be drawn either in one month (So Oct. 20th), or once 100 entries have been reached, whichever comes first! So tap that jar!
Annnnnd finally, taking up our last vendor space at Riff Raff Paradise is LilB's -- A really wonderful shop offering neko accessories and clothing of great quality. The pieces in this collection have a ton of 'tude, so be sure to stop on over and check out her stuff!

Men's shapes now at Riff Raff Paradise!

So excited to announce yet another new addition to Riff Raff Paradise! Adlerblick Shapes has just joined us, and is adding yet more variety to your shopping experience! Adlerblick offers unique, great-looking shapes for men! Be sure to stop on over to check out their offering.
*Is giddy* So so far, there's neko accessories, piercings, chokers etc. (At Rebel Fairey), clothing, boots *counts on fingers* prefabs (at Mouse*Trap), textures galore (Alpha-Delta Designs) ... woot!
Ok, so on the heels of all this is the second-to-last hunt prize that I just wrapped up tonight! It's called "Rat Bastard", and I made it for the Dark Katz Hunt, which starts on September 20th! You can see what it is by the pic below lol. I'm kinda pround of this one, it's one of the first that has pretty much turned out just as I pictured it hehehe.
The cloth part of the pack is texture-changeable independently of the leather trim (which is also texture-changeable with other leather textures). Mix and match to your heart's content! There are some girly colors, and some more guyish colors, so this prize is definitely unisex. It's also resize and reposition by menu, so if adjusting attachemtns using SL's build tools is not your thing, you're all set :)
The final feature that I like are the two photos, that of course, you can personalize yourself by dropping your own textures/photos into.
Take a shot at this hunt, it should be really awesome, LOTS of great, big-name Neko shops are participating in it. Link to their blog is off to the right of this post :) You can see their list of shops there!
Have fun, and there's EVEN MORE to come soon!!!

New Shops at Riff Raff Paradise!

Very excited, the shops that have been available for rent are filling up! One of our first renters was Mouse*Trap, whose moving in was previously announced in group. Just this weekend, we've had "Jagz," a furniture/pose props shop open up shop!
Jagz owner Jalestra Calamari just moved in last night, and I really think you all need to stop in and check her out. She is just starting out, but what she has is really great. I've included some pics of me copping a tryout of her strawberry, and the freebie she has available, giant cherries with poses in them! The strawberry and cherry are loaded with poses, and you can scroll through the poses via menu.
We're very excited to welcome Jagz to Riff Raff Paradise, and look forward to what she comes up with next! Whatever it is, it's sure to be lots of fun ;)
Have fun checking out her stuff! We've got more new stuff coming up, so keep checking back!

Wear Gray For A Day ...

Well this was an unexpected project, but one that couldn't have come at a more meaningful time for me. You may have seen posters around some of the shops in SL for the "Wear Gray For A Day" campaign, where residents are being asked to wear gray on Sept. 18 to show their awareness of the need for more research for a cure for brain cancer. Many designers are offering exclusive items for sale, with proceeds of the sales of the items going to the American Cancer Society. While the sale of exclusive items is officially slated to begin Sept. 1, many designers, including myself, have already set out gray or brain-themed items for sales. Proceeds of the sales go directly to The American Cancer Society. RGK's items are set for 100% proceeds to go to this cause.
I just learned the other day about this campaign, and created a unisex chain necklace for the fundraiser. A picture of it is here, the ad pretty much says it all so I won't retype it LOL.
All of us have been touched by the devastation of cancer in one form or another. I can come up with a lengthy list of names of friends, family members and acquaintances who have been diagnosed with cancer. Some won the fight, and all too many have lost. Very unfortunately, I recently learned that a friend of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer. She is the mother of two teenage children, a former newspaper reporter and she just finished her licensing to become a nurse. This news has been devastating to her family, of course, and has staggered all of us, her friends. So, this campaign is one that I grabbed on to with the hope that it will give me a sense of well ... control I guess ... over the situation.
Whether it is this necklace you decide to purchase, or other items from any of the many designers who are also participating in this event, please consider supporting this campaign. Their Wear Gray For A Day blog has a list of images of exclusive items offered and slurls so you can go grab them. Show the world that this is a cause we all need to pay attention to, wear your gray on Sept. 18th! And I thank you in advance for your support of this very important effort on the part of those organizing it.

Hunt Prizes!

OMG Hard to believe but in just a few short days, wait, no, make that in just one week, August will be gone and it will be SEPTEMBER. I can't even stand it! If you've read my bio here, you know I'm a teacher in RL so I am FREAKING OUT (as all teachers do this time of year ... probably more than the students do). Anyhow, that's not why you're reading this blog LOL
The other reason September is important is because it marks the beginning of two new hunts! The Addiction Hunt and Freaky Fall Hunts both get going on Sept. 1st. I've got both prizes all done up, woot! Take a look at the links off to the right of what I've written here, and you'll see the blogs to those hunts, as well as to Maleficient Benoir's Hints blog. I'm not sure if she will put up the hints for these two hunts, but she sure seems to cover everything else so, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if she did.
There are some pretty awesome stores in both of these upcoming hunts, so be sure to check them out!
The "Psycho Killer" belt is for the Freaky Fall Hunt. I think it'll be worth your while to grab this one! Got lots of details on it, and it has a two-way chat menu with some good, freaky, chat options ;) As I usually try to do, there are lots of details to this belt -- grenade, sculpty heart in a plastic bag, sculpty brain in a jar, brass knuckles, and hunting knife all tied on with hemp rope. There's even a lil carrying pouch on the back. Most of the textures on it are courtesy of Alpha-Delta Designs. Vel gifted me a lot of those textures, I can't thank her enough!
The "In Case of OD" leg band is for the Addiction Hunt. It's sister -- the choker -- is on sale at the store, but the legband is for you to enjoy once you've hunted it down. Just like the choker, the tag is personalizeable by dropping in a pic of your emergency contact person in case you overdose :P It has the vintage syringe, bottle of codeine, razoblades and pack of cigs.
The end of August also means that the Midsummer Night Quest is also coming to an end *sniff* That was a fun one to put on, I hope you all have enjoyed it. If you haven't had a chance to take part, there's still time. Just head over to RGK's main store and click on the steaming stone bowl of water for Hint #1. ;)
Next hunts I'm getting ready for: Dark Katz Hunt (starts Sept. 20) and the Pumpkin Prints hunt (Starts Oct. 1). Holy cow! LOL after that I'll probably take a teeny weeny break from being in all these hunts and focus a bit more on just getting some products out that I've been trying to get to but haven't had time to because my own over-commitment. MY BAD. I'll know better for next time :P

New Release .... teaser for hunt prize!

Well, while I was working on the prize for The Addiction Hunt, I decided to make a matching choker for it LOL. I don't have the pic for the matching accessory to this, which will be the actual hunt gift, but figured I'd release this choker ahead of time as a lil' tease hehehehe.
The choker, as you can see, is barbed wire with a large vintage syringe hanging from it. Attached to that is a tag into which you can drop a pic of your 'emergency contact person.' Unisex, and re-size by menu, so easy for all to use!
Hope y'all have fun with it, and check back, cuz i'll be posting my hunt prize pictures here soon!

All moved in!

We're all moved in! Have been for a few days but omg so busy trying to finish up hunt gifts and trying to get non-hunt things done LOL.
The Midsummer Night Quest is still going on strong -- we all moved the moons over to the new place to try to give everyone a seamless transition! I accidentally came across a blurb about this hunt on Maleficient Benoir's blog, and she has such nice things to say! Thanks Mal! We love putting them on ... have some other ideas in the works for down the line, so y'all stay tuned ;)
Speaking of hunts, as September creeps closer, I'm frantically getting gifts for those hunts ready. Starting September 1st, RGK will be hosting a prize for the Addiction Hunt and the Freaky Fall hunt! I'll post pictures for those hunts here when I get them done.
Also, don't forget about the Diversity Hunt that is still going on, and will be until about September 9th.
Finally, wanted to turn your attention to Thunderstruck Radio, run by DJ Thor Barenhaut who is also co-owner of Alpha-Delta Designs. You can always find them playing at Riff Raff Paradise, and you can tune into them now matter where, no matter when at this url: http://brown.neostreams.info:11982 Just plug that in to any media player on your computer and enjoy everything from blues, classic rock, metal and more! If you're in the mood to hear something in particular, you can send a twitter to make your request if you're not in-world: www.twitter.com/thundermusic
Stay tuned, I'll update soon with pics of upcoming hunt prizes!

Moving ... again LOL

OK, so we're moving again LOL. Came to the conclusion that 1/4 sim is really a bit too big of a place for what I need, I really can do all that I want to with a lot less prims. Found what I think is a really nice home for RGK, Alpha-Delta and Rebel Fairey (and all those who want to join us). It's a very pretty sim with some businesses for neighbors, well-landscaped and all. Should be fun :)
We'll still have shops for rent at the new location, and I'm adding skyboxes for rent as well! Here's the classified ad I'll be placing:
The move isn't slated to be finalized for a few more days yet, but those of you who are in the group were sent LMs to the new location for a little sneak peek at what's in store ;) Hoping to have the move completed later this week!
While all this is going on, I'm trying to also prepare hunt prizes AND my return to RL work ... summer's almost over omfg what the hell HAPPENED?

Told ya!

Hahahah told ya it would be a while before I checked in! In the meantime, I've relesed a set of belly chains and one "chain" that really is more of a belt. Three have the "locket feature" to them of course. The "belt" is a unisex one -- bones with a skull in the front with mouth open. The center back piece on the belt is a sculpty pelvic bone, hehehehe. Hubby looked at it and went "ew" so you KNOW it's kewl lol:
In other news, RGK is in the Diversity Hunt which is going on right through to the end of August. I never got any pictures taken of that because I just got way too swamped. I've DEFINITELY overcommitted for hunts this fall! Holy crap! So you want free stuff from RGK, hahah keep comin'!
For Diversity Hunt I've got two angels out -- a blue (that belongs to the blue path) and a red (that goes on the red path). The blue path angel has a complete set of unisex tail and ears with its own chat menu. No other tail I have or that anyone else has made has this chat menu options ;) There's a matching collar that goes with it, AND for the non-neko guys, there's a copy of "Dogged," the gold dog-tag on a heavy gold chain.
In the red angel, there's a non-resize menu copy of "Spring Fling".
Projects under way now are getting gifts done for Freaky Fall Hunt and the Addiction Hunt, which both start Sept. 1. I'll put up links to those two places here in a bit, so you can see who all is participating. Both of those hunts should be really fun ;)
Gotta catch up on my blogging, so stay tuned ;) more info on products and stuffs comin' down the pipe!

Two announcements -- August Hunt and a New Release!

Well I'm going to talk about the hunt first, because I'm all geeked up about that hehehehe. Finally got the ad all made up for that, and I've been having all SORTS of fun re-landscaping and prim-cutting (and adding prims back :P) on Riff Raff Paradise. Here's a tip -- even though we're not quite at August yet, you'll enjoy the view much more nowadays if you put your environmental settings to midnight (Go up to your menu bar, go to Environment Settings > Midnight).
The "hunt" for the month of August is like the Hamster Hunt we held for the grand-opening of Riff Raff Paradise. Unlike the Hamster Hunt, however, this "hunt" is more of a quest. The theme is "Midsummer Night," which is why I've put up a lot of more whimsical landscaping than what was originally there.
Why is it called a quest? Because there is a definite start point, and you ARE trying to get to a definite end point. Once you reach the end, you are given a reward for getting there! Between the start and end point, you will be looking for 12blue moons hidden around the transformed plot. Each moon's location will be revealed to you through a hint. For each moon you are able to find, you receive a reward from one of us (RGK, Rebel Fairey or Alpha-Delta Designs)and a clue to the next moon in line. Once you've found the 12th blue moon, you will then be shown how to find your way to your final goal, which is where the spirits of the Quest reside.
All quests have a story -- well here it is:
Three maiden fairies long ago were abducted from the land where Riff Raff Paradise now stands. Once a year, at Midsummer, the spirits of these three fairies return to their home and take over the land, transforming everything to the way they once knew. During this time, they beseech visitors to pay a visit to them, but only if they are able to prove their cunning first. So they send their willing visitors-to-be on a journey that tests their cunning and guile. If their guests are able to pass the test, the fairies deem them trustworthy and worthy of their company. Visitors are rewarded with one last gift for their troubles.
I hope you all have as much fun going on this quest as I have in putting together all the landscaping and stuff LOL.
Having NOTHING to do with the quest is RGK's newest release, the Portable TV!
Just a fun little accessory that goes back to RGK Custom Photo Service's roots, which is to try to come up with products that help you use your textures in fun and creative ways.
Obviously, from the pic you can see it's not a "portable TV" perse, but a smartass name for basically carrying around an old-fashioned TV on your back :P LOL
The fun thing about this piece is that you can load way more than one pic to it. It's been pre-loaded to demonstrate how it works once you get pics into the thing, but basically it has an animated "TV With Static" texture, and over top of that is a prim into which you drop your own pics. The overall effect being that your textures look like faint reception of a TV show or something hehehehe.
Instructions on loading textures into this TV is included in the box. The other neat thing with this is that I've found a great NEW menu script that is MUCH simpler to use than ones that I've included in past products. I'm always on the lookout for newer and better, and I think I found it with this one :)
When you click the TV, you get options to change textures, resize, reposition AND change rotation! No posestands needed, and this is friendly to those who are not handy with using the edit tools SL gives us.
Not only is the TV itself texture-change, but so are the straps used in carrying the TV. You can choose to either texture change the TV or the straps by using submenu categories. WOOOT! So you can mix and match the textures that have been included to personalize your look!
Some cool ideas for textures you can add:
*Obviously your friends and loved ones
*messages you can make up yourself in Gimp or Photoshop (No drama, I'm a bish, etc.)
*Advertising a product or business you may own or be a part of
Just some thoughts ;)
Hope you all enjoy both these new things!

Hunts hunts and more hunts! Dude! LOL
Well, lemme tell ya LOL. I'm prolly gonna slow down a bit with the new releases because I have some hunts to take care of lmfao. Wow. LOVE them cuz they're fun, and the ideas and themes for the hunts always gets my creative juices flowing (which then causes me to run out and shop for sculpties, scripts, textures ... geez LOL).
Writing about this here as much for myself as for anyone else, because I'm nervous I'll forget about one! These are in order of occurrence (first to last):
HUNT #1 This is another hunt that will be sponsored by RGK, Alpha-Delta Designs and Rebel Fairey. For whatever reason, I couldn't find a hunt to be in during the month of August, so ... we're making our own hehehehe. Just like that Hamster Hunt we did, it will be just the three of us holding the hunt, and visitors will need to find the gifts we put out. This "Hunt" will actually be more of a "Quest." There will be a start point and an end point, with little quests to fulfill along the way. Details are upcoming, but it should be fun!
HUNT #2 Is "Freaky Fall Hunt" This should be a really fun one, and starts on Sept. 1, ends Oct. 1 so you'll have lots of freaky stuff on hand right in time for Halloween! Their blog still has just vendor application information in it, but keep going back to it so you can see who all is in the hunt!
HUNT #3 is "Dark Katz Hunt". I'm SO extremely honored and excited to be in this hunt, as this is an invite-only hunt, meaning that vendors could only get in by invitation. OMG soooo excited for it, and have such a fun idea planned for it already, I can't wait to get my hands into this project! This hunt starts September 20th and ends October 20th -- again, just in time for you to have LOTS fo goodies for Halloween. The blog is up, but doesn't have much to it yet. Keep an eye on it though, as I know there will be lots of good stuff there soon. And when the time draws nearer, they also have a flickr site where designers will post images of their hunt prizes.
HUNT #4 is "The Addiction Hunt," which starts September 1st and ends September 30th. The theme around this hunt is ... well ... addiction LOL. The idea being that those of us who go on hunts, are completely addicted to them (how true!). I love going on hunts and discovering amazing new designers I never would have found otherwise. So, this hunt will be fun and fresh and should yield some great items for everyone as well. This hunt's blog already has a list of participating vendors, so you can get a sneak peek at who will be in it.
WOW lol. So, if you don't hear from me release-wise in a little bit ummmm ... you'll know why! I'll still be putting some stuff out I'm sure, I'll just be even slower than usual :P

The Platform and a new release!

Well I've had this idea for a while, and since summer's here, seems like the perfect time to bring it to fruition LOL.
For WHATEVER reason, when I got the sky platform that is now know as "The Platform" to me, I got this image in my head of a starry evening, hanging moss, blues, and people dancing on The Platform with some blues/jazz/country kind of stuff. ESPECIALLY because it's summer, I thought of blues. I have a lot of childhood memories liking blues to hot, muggy summer nights. Whether it's because of the Jazz festivals I went to in Montreal as a teenager, or just sitting outside listening to Leadbelly watching fireflies with my brother and parents, it's a strong link for me.
SO, when I decided to also have this occasional "entertainment area" (I don't want to call it a "Club" because I really don't want to commit to a rigid schedule like a real club does), I really wanted the Grand Opening of it to pay tribute to this calling for the blues, jazz, and just sultry music in general.
Therefore, on Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m., I'll be kicking off the Grand Opening of The Platform by having a "Summer Blues" event. I'm really excited to introduce you all to the DJ who will be playing for us that night -- Thor Barenhaut. He is a friend who DJ'ed for a bit at Skull Burner, where I used to DJ myself. He currently DJs at Hotlanta, and really is a great entertainer. He has a great lineup of some really wonderful stuff that will get everyone relaxed, happy and having fun.

The event itself does have a prize attached to it -- "Summer Blues," so ladies and gentlemen, if you would like to try to win a prize worth 400L, come over on Friday wearing your best blue outfit! For the men, I'm offering my newly-release "Blues Brothers Tribute" set (pictured with this blog) and for the ladies, I'm offering my previously released "Starry Night" set of necklaces.
At the end of the 2-hour set with Thor, the winners of the event will be announced.
Sooo, that's The Platform and Friday's event ;)
I've got an event planned for Saturday as well ... but because I don't want it to get lost in a LONGASS blogpost, I'll wait to tell you all about that tomorrow LOL.
I hope to see y'all on Friday! Woot!

OMFG, 400 Members!
Dayum! Really truly, I never ever in my wildest dreams ever thought that I'd have a group with this many people in it! It just blows me away. I realize that by the standards of a Subscribe-O-Matic group, 400 members might be "small," but man, when I think FOUR HUNDRED PEOPLE stopped by somewhere, saw my stuff, and liked them enough to think "Hey, I might want to know what's going on here," geez. It's overwhelming. In a good way LOL.
To commemorate this benchmark, I sent out a group freebie that consisted of a cami for the ladies, and a t-shirt for the men. It's my first REAL attempt at making any item of clothing. Tried to make it 'cool' enough to wear around proudly LOL, hope it worked. By the looks of the response I've gotten so far, I think it probably did. Since I haven't received any pics from women yet, the pic of the chic wearing the women's 400 Members shirt is me :) Just wanted to show of what I pulled off for a first-time shirt hehehehe.
When sending out the shirts, I asked recipients to send me pics of themselves earing their shirts so I can creat some kind of collage or something ... it would help ME put faces/images to the names, and group members can see each other. Thinking I want to have a board up or something with all of us prominently displayed so people can see who the first 400 members of the RGK group are :)
You see with this blog post the first submissions (The two guys, thanks guys!!!). Love it!!! I DID ask for people to submit their pics to me by flickr, BUT, more than one person approached me saying they wanted to send me a pic but had no idea how to post to flickr ... SO, i'll just change my request to reflect that -- I just want your pics! So send 'em to me any whichway you can :)) What's most important to me is that I get a good response, I wanna see yas!
Can't wait to get more!!

For the boys!

I've always wanted to say that *snickers*
In all seriousness, I'm really excited about this newest release. Ever since I made the "Allegiance" armband for the SL Discovery hunt that just ended in June, I wanted to make matching tail and ears. Unfortunately, it always seemed like other stuff (like things for other hunts etc.) always took precedence. FINALLY, I've gotten around to it and finished!
I didn't want this to be "just another" set of tail and ears, beacuse I KNOW guys wear different style neko tail and ears than us female nekos do. We chicks who like the fluffy tails like them FLUFFY and LUSH. Guys, on the other hand, I've noticed wear either the skinny tails, or, if they go with a bushier tail, like the ones with more clear-cut tiers, not as fluffy, a bit shorter, etc. Soooo, that's what I went with. I hope I got it right guys!
In keeping with the theme in the "Allegiance" armband, I kept the gothic cross with glowing purple amethyst gem. I added to the tail, though, a bottle of "Liquidus Sanctus" (my latin translation for "Holy Water," not sure it's right tho LOL) and a pocket-bible :P hahaha.

There are also skulls and spikes, to me representing that while idea of mortality. ANNNNNDDDDD, of course, new tail, new chat options! You can visit the main store in-world and slap up the demo tail that "Newton the Noobie" is wearing LOL. He's the mannequin chained to the wall right next to the new tail vendors.
I hope everyone enjoys this new release because ... while I AM calling this a tail made with the guys in mind, *I* have been wearing the tail too, and I think it looks pretty sweet :P Like most men's items, they can easily be made unisex. If you're a female avi who wants the "Dont mess with me" look, it's a good way to go :)
PLEASE, if you have any questions or comments regarding this or any other item, you are ENCOURAGED to contact me in-world, or to leave me a comment to this blog! This blog IS YOUR TOOL OF COMMUNICATION WITH RGK, not just my tool of communication with you!
OK, I've rambled long enough. Have fun!

Late blog on my release, and happy 4th!

I'm late in putting this up here LOL. With 4th of July stuff in RL it's just been pretty much impossible for me to do everything that I usually do ... happy 4th, btw!
I was kinda chuckling to myself as I released these on Friday -- all the star-spangled 4th of July stuff was coming out, red white and blue and poofing out stars all over the place -- and there was me, coming out with this star-spangled bunch of stuff!
But really, these pieces weren't created at all with 4th of July in mind. I had been looking thru an old copy of "Jane" (I think that's what it was, who knows?) when i came across a pic of this many-tiered necklace with a heavy star theme, in silver. I loved it, and looked at the price and omg, more than 200USD in RL. Pffft. I thought (and this is when you know you play too much SL) I can MAKE one for myself in SL instead! So, I tried. What I came up with isn't exactly what I saw in that mag, but it's the same idea, hehehe.
I'm pretty proud of the looks you can achieve with "Starry Night", by wearing them apart of together. There are 2 different attachment points (spine and chest) so take your pick. Two necklaes, three looks, not bad!
The piece I'm calling "Starry Eyes" is simple, but it goes pretty well with the "Starry Night" set. It's little stars that sit right by the corner of your eye, in surgical steel. I've actually taken then inspiration for that one from Vel, who came out with some really cool face piercings, "Beauty Tears" and then omg I can't remember the name of the star ones she made for the face, but that one too. Her imagination always blows me away!
I've packaged the two together to create a "Rock Star" package, for those who wanted all the stars in one place heheheh, and discounted the total cost by more than 10%.
I hope you guys enjoy these!
